1.26.08 Degree Awarded
Alicia Markey will be receiving her Masters degree in January 2008. This has been awarded after two years of hard work at Wilmington University in Wilmington, Delaware. The degree will be a Masters of Science in Information Systems Technology with a concentration in Internet/Web Design. This degree will round out Alicia's outstanding print education she earned at Drexel University with a Bachelor's of Science in Graphic Design.
10.24.07 Alumni Site Completed
Alicia Markey completed the design of the Drexel University Swimming and Diving Alumni Web Site. The site will be used to create relationships with alumni who swam or dove at the university. In addition to creating friendships and support for the team the site will act as a fundraising campaign.
10.6.07 Stress Busters Project Complete
Alicia Markey completed a new design for the annual Stress Buster Campaign at Cecil College. This campaign is aimed at easing students' end-of-semester anxiety. The project includes a Stress Buster toolbox that has materials for students with test taking and study tips.
9.13.07 NCMPR Awards
Cecil College was awarded medalian awards for design work from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. The awards will be presented November 6, 2007 in Annapolis, Maryland.
9.4.07 Personal Photo Project Begins
Alicia Markey is beginning a personal photo project with the focus of typography. On this assignment she will be photographing many different aspects of type and how it relates to humans and society. This project is expected to last one year.
8.21.07 Design Video Complete
A video that explains the process of design has been completed by Alicia Markey. The video was created using Final Cut Pro and can be viewed here in the multimedia portfolio section.
8.4.07 Interactive Journal Complete
A very detailed journal has been completed by Alicia Markey. This journal highlights the major events of Alicia's 2007 triathlon season. The project was completed in Flash. Some of the pages can be viewed on this site in the multimedia section.
